Using Mihruna without an account

You can use Mihruna without creating an account. In guest mode your chosen city, language, notification and adhan preferences, bookmarks and reading progress stay on your phone and are not sent to our servers.

Data processed when you create an account

• Your email address and an irreversible hash of your password (for authentication).
• Your subscription status, if any.
• Content you choose to sync: saved cities, notification preferences, bookmarks, reading progress and plans, notes and collections, dhikr and practice records, fasting records, and mosque schedules you enter yourself.
• Only a hash of your device push token; the token itself is not stored.

Location

Your precise location is requested only when you open the Qibla screen or tap “find my city”. The Qibla direction is computed on the phone; your coordinates are not sent to a server or stored. “Find my city” turns the position into a district name on the device and then discards the coordinates.

For prayer times, what reaches the server is the public centre point of the place you chose, not your device’s GPS position.

Ads

The free version shows a limited number of ads through Google AdMob: on the Today page, in the surah list, at the end of the Prayer page, and at most once a day when leaving a neutral screen. No ads appear in the Quran reader and player, while the adhan sounds, in Qibla, in widgets or on first launch. Mihruna Pro removes all ads; for a Pro user the ad software is never started.

To show ads, Google processes your IP address, device and app information, ad interactions and, if you allow it, the device’s advertising ID. Personalised ads are shown only with your consent: a consent screen appears where the law requires one, and on iPhone the system’s tracking prompt is asked as well. Without consent, non-personalised ads are shown; where required, you can change your choice under Profile › Ad preferences.

Ad requests never include what you read, your worship records, your chosen city or your location; no keyword or content targeting is used. Ad content is limited to the general-audience (G) rating.

Usage statistics

To improve the app, anonymous usage statistics are collected with Google Analytics for Firebase: which screens are opened (the screen's name, not the surah or bab you opened), revenue from ad impressions, Pro purchase steps, app language, and general information such as device and app version. For this Google processes your IP address and an app-specific identifier; the advertising ID is not collected for this purpose.

The surahs, verses and babs you read, your listening history, dhikr counts, notes, searches, city, location, email address and account id are never sent. The app can send only a fixed list of event names.

These statistics are on by default. You can turn them off at any time under Profile › Privacy and settings › Share usage statistics; once off, nothing is sent from the device.

mihruna.com visit statistics

Two tools help improve the site. Vercel Web Analytics uses no cookies; it collects only page-view counts, the referring site, country and device type, without identifying anyone.

Google Analytics uses a cookie only if you choose “Accept” in the site's notice; if you decline, no cookie is set and Google receives only cookieless signals that carry no identifier (Google Consent Mode). Advertising and personalisation permissions are never granted.

You can change your choice at any time with “Cookie preferences” at the bottom of the site. The choice is stored in your browser only.

What we do not collect

• Mihruna itself builds no ad profile; the mihruna.com site sets no advertising cookies (site statistics are described under “mihruna.com visit statistics”).
• No crash-reporting SDK in the app; usage statistics and ad measurement are described in the sections above.
• Your reading habits and prayer tracking are never used for advertising or marketing, never shared with the ad network and never sold.
• We do not ask for your contacts, photos or microphone.

Service providers

Your data is shared only with the providers needed to run the service, and only as far as needed:

• Supabase — accounts, database and server functions; data is hosted in the European Union (Frankfurt).
• Resend — delivery of account confirmation and password reset emails (your email address only).
• RevenueCat, Apple and Google — verifying purchase status if you buy a subscription; your card details never reach us.
• Google AdMob — showing ads and managing consent in the free version (as described under “Ads” above).
• Google Analytics for Firebase — anonymous usage statistics (as described under “Usage statistics” above).
• Aladhan, GeoNames, Quran Foundation (quran.com) and Tanzil — prayer times, place names and Quran content. These requests carry neither your account nor your device location.
• Vercel — hosting of mihruna.com and cookieless visit statistics; standard server logs (IP address, browser information) may be created when you visit the site.
• Google Analytics — mihruna.com visit statistics; a cookie only with your consent (as described under “mihruna.com visit statistics”).

Retention and deletion

Account data is kept until you delete it or close your account. In the app, under Profile › Privacy, you can download all of your data as a file and permanently delete your account. When an account is deleted, your records are removed from the server and from the account-bound storage on your device.

If you cannot access the app, email destek@mihruna.com from your account’s address to request deletion.

Your rights

Under the GDPR and the Turkish KVKK you have the right to access your data, have it corrected or erased, object to its processing and receive it in a portable format. Write to destek@mihruna.com; we respond within 30 days at the latest.

Children

Mihruna is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them. If you become aware of such a case, tell us and we will delete the account.
